Rose Cream Soap©2001, Denise Washburn
6 ounces Avocado oil
2 ounces castor oil
12 ounces coconut oil
14 ounces olive oil
8 ounces palm oil
6 ounces shea butter
6 5/8 ounces lye
12 ounces rose water
4 ounces cream
1 ounce liquid silk
1 ounce True Rose fragrance oil
***1 tablespoon ultramarine pink
1 ounce olive oil you will not use all of this in the recipe!
1 teaspoon rose hip powder
Use rose water to make your lye solution.  Melt your oils together and add 3 teaspoons of the pink oxide olive oil mixture to your oils.  Combine lye solution to oils at 90° and bring to a light trace.  Add cream and liquid silk, bring to a trace again.  Add fragrance oil and bring to a trace.  Remove two cups of soap and add the rose hip powder to this.  Swirl this soap with the rest and pour into prepared molds.  This is a very faint color-contrast swirl...to make it darker you could use merlot mica in place of the rose hip powder.  This soap goes to a heavy trace fairly quickly after adding the cream, so be prepared to work fast!

  Dad's Shamrock Soap©2001, Denise Washburn
2 ounces castor oil
12 ounces coconut oil
14 ounces olive oil
12 ounces palm kernel oil
5 ounces wheat germ oil
15 ounces water6? ounces lye
***1 tablespoon hydrated chrome green
1 ounce olive oilyou will only use 1 teaspoon of this mixture in your soap.
1 ounce Bay Rum essential oil from CG
Mix hydrated chrome green and one ounce of olive oil...set aside.  Mix lye with your water.  Measure your oils and melt them together.  Add one teaspoon of your hydrated chrome green olive oil mixture to the oils.  Combine lye solution to your oils at 100°.  Bring to a trace and add your bay rum essential oil.  Pour into individual molds.  I used the shamrock Milkyway molds I got from BB.  This can also be poured into any molds, and then sliced into bars.  I poured what didn't fit into my shamrock molds into a Torengo's can.

Susan's White Soap Recipe
Castor oil 2 oz.
Coconut oil 20 oz.
Refined olive oil
 34 oz.*Lye
8 oz.Water
19 oz.Olive Oil*Don't use extra virgin or virgin.
I get this refined stuff at Costco, and it's butter yellow in the bottle.  The extra virgin comes through tothe soap as a (rather nice, I think) scent and very pale greenish color. But if you want really white white, you gotta go refined.

Bobbie's Lard Soap Recipe
1 lb 8 oz  Coconut Oil
3 lb 12 oz Lard
4.5 oz Beeswax
2 lbs 1 oz Water (or other fluid)
12.13 oz Lye (NaOH)  @ 7% s.f.
I believe it's what you add in the way of EOs, herbs, etc. that really make
the soap.  It's a  little high in coconut, but balances with the lard
nicely.
